Privacy Policy

At HypeWheel, your privacy is our priority. This Privacy Policy outlines how we handle data for both our web application (HypeWheel.app) and the HypeWheel Chrome Browser Extension.

1. Data Storage & Local Processing

HypeWheel is designed to be a client-side application. This means that all of your wheel configurations, names, lists, and settings are stored locally on your device using your browser's localStorage.

  • We do not have a central database.
  • We do not collect, store, or transmit your wheel data to our servers.
  • If you clear your browser data or use a different device, your lists will not be synced (unless you manually export and import them).

2. HypeWheel Chrome Extension

The HypeWheel Chrome extension operates under the same privacy principles as our web application.

  • It runs entirely locally within your browser.
  • It does not track your browsing history or collect personal information.
  • Any data generated or saved within the extension is stored locally on your machine.

3. Third-Party Services

While our core application works entirely locally, we do utilize a few third-party services to enhance functionality and understand usage:

  • Puter.js (AI Features): If you use the AI text generation features (such as generating random lists), your prompt is sent securely to the Puter.com API. Puter.js handles this request. We do not store these requests on our end. Please refer to Puter's privacy policy for more details on how they handle API requests.
  • Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics to understand general website traffic and usage patterns (e.g., how many people visit the site). This data is anonymized and aggregated. You can opt out of Google Analytics using browser extensions if you prefer.

4. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page. Because we do not collect user contact information, we cannot notify you directly of changes.

5. Contact

If you have any questions or concerns about this Privacy Policy, you can open an issue on our GitHub repository.
